Christmas Style Guide - Ho! Ho! Ho!
Yes! It is Christmas season, once the Halloween decorations come down the Christmas decorations come up! Have you been to the mall and seen the bright and bold Christmas trees. I know you might think it is way too soon, but it is never too soon. Christmas is around the corner and you definitely know what that means: dinners with the parents, meeting the parents, office parties, a lot of intrusive answers from people around you. Which is all good, with a full belly and in good shoes. Here is a little style guide to help you maneuver through Christmas.

THE BUTTON UP CARDIGAN
The button up cardigan is a traditional style piece that I feel everyone should own at some point in their life. I know when you think about a button up cardigan, you’re probably picturing little Prince George of Cambridge waving at the crowd. The button up cardigan can definitely make your outfit more collected and clean. If you pick the right fabric, and the right look, you can dress up or dress down any outfit.
THE FUN CHRISTMAS SWEATER
This is very close to the button up but the only difference with this, is that it is a round neck or slight v-neck sweater. The “fun” part would be in picking out the prints, logos and what is on the sweater. I honestly love Polo Ralph Lauren and their fun animal themed sweaters and this paired with some denim, loafers and a dress shirt is such an easy win for Christmas style. If you are not big on prints you can go for a chunkier knit sweater.
RED ITEMS
If you rarely wear red, this is the occasion to wear red. It can be something as small as a tie, maybe socks that have hints of red, or a red suit. Red is a pretty bold colour and should be styled in a way that it would shine. I would say unless it's a themed party or occasion, don't wear red and green, try cream or black.
THE BOLD SUIT
This is the centerpiece of the conversation, this is the “ i am here” suit. This is not for the faint hearted and it really strikes up conversation. This is not the regular, clean suit, this is a corduroy suit, this can be a velvet suit, this is a suit that is the occasion. These are super fun and would definitely score you major points at any function or event.
THE ELEVATED SWEATS
Elevated sweats are pretty much the sweatpants and sweatshirt that are not the basic run off the mill grey sweatpants. You can have fun with this by changing up the colour patterns, try out mint, pinks, creams, and you can style this with a funky t-shirt, some cool sneakers and accessorize it. This is perfect for that impromptu road trip your cousins will decide to take to get away from the family, or just a cozy night in watching Netflix and having a hearty laugh.
